The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes (A Hunger Games Novel) - Suzanne Collins
Suzanne Collins puts you in the head of a complicated man in her novel. She masterfully creates a past Panem 64 years before her trilogy. The world she creates flows perfectly with the other books in her trilogy, making post war Panem a real place in your mind. This book will challenge your moral compass as most normal people will relate to Coriolanus Snow in many ways. This book is heartbreakingly, and gracefully done. The style and diction is immaculate, and Collins presents herself as a master of poetry. I read this book in two days, first book I’ve read in a while. I could not put it down.
